भूपेंद्र पटेल गुजरात के 18वें मुख्यमंत्री पद की शपथ 12 दिसंबर 2022 लेंगे। वह गुजरात के घटलोदिया विधानसभा सीट से विधायक है। 60 साल के भूपेंद्र पटेल दूसरी बार मुख्यमंत्री पद की शपथ लेंगे। 

भूपेंद्र पटेल का प्रारंभिक जीवन

भूपेंद्र पटेल का जन्म 15 जुलाई 1962 को अहमदाबाद, गुजरात में हुआ था। भूपेंद्र पटेल एक गुजराती कदवा पटीदार परिवार से सम्बन्धित है। भूपेंद्र पटेल ने अप्रैल 1982 मे गवर्नमेंट पॉलीटेक्निक, अहमदाबाद से सिविल इंजीनियरिंग मे डिप्लोमा प्राप्त किया है। भूपेंद्र पटेल राष्ट्रीय स्वयंसेवक संघ से जुड़े रहे है। उन्हें क्रिकेट और बैडमिंटन मे बहुत रुचि है।

भूपेंद्र पटेल पेशे से एक बिल्डर है। भूपेंद्र पटेल सरदरधाम विश्व पटीदार केंद्र के ट्रस्टी और विश्व उमीया फाउंडेशन की स्थायी समिति के अध्यक्ष है। भूपेंद्र पटेल दादा भगवान द्वारा स्थापित अकरम विज्ञान आंदोलन के अनुयायी भी है। 

भूपेंद्र पटेल का राजनीतिक जीवन

  • निगम पार्षद

भूपेंद्र पटेल 1999-2000 और 2004-2006 में मेमनगर नगरपालिका के सदस्य थे। वह 1999-2000 में मेमनगर नगरपालिका के अध्यक्ष थे। वह 2008 से 2010 तक अहमदाबाद नगर निगम(एएमसी) के स्कूल बोर्ड के उपाध्यक्ष थे। वह 2010 से 2015 तक थलतेज वार्ड के पार्षद थे। वह 2015 से 2017 तक अहमदाबाद शहरी विकास प्राधिकरण (एयूडीए) के अध्यक्ष थे। उन्होंने एएमसी की स्थायी समिति के अध्यक्ष के रूप में भी कार्य किया है।


  • गुजरात विधानसभा के सदस्य

भूपेंद्र पटेल लगातार 2017 व 2022 गुजरात विधानसभा चुनाव मे घाटलोदिया निर्वाचन क्षेत्र से जीत हासिल की । उन्होंने 1,92,000 वोटों के रिकॉर्ड अंतर से जीत हासिल की है।


  • गुजरात के मुख्यमंत्री

11 सितंबर 2021 को, विजय रूपानी ने गुजरात के मुख्यमंत्री पद से इस्तीफा दे दिया था। 12 सितंबर 2021 को गांधीनगर में पार्टी विधानमंडल की बैठक में पटेल को सर्वसम्मति से भाजपा विधायक दल के नेता और गुजरात के मुख्यमंत्री के रूप में चुना गया। उन्होंने 13 सितंबर 2021 को गुजरात के मुख्यमंत्री के रूप में पहली बार शपथ ली थी। 08 फरवरी, 2022 को उन्होंने एक नई गुजरात आईटी / आईटीईएस नीति 2022-2027 लॉन्च की।
